Canva Whiteboard turns collaboration into a joyful playground. Rolling out across European markets, we showed how real-time teamwork can be both fun and entirely effortless today.

Inspiration
While many whiteboard tools compete on functionality, Canva’s edge lies in its uniquely playful, inviting brand personality. This tone signals ease and lowers the barrier to entry, especially for teams who may find traditional whiteboard tools overwhelming or uninspiring.
Creative direction
The creative direction positions Canva Whiteboards as a joyful, inspired space for dynamic momentum. By prioritizing play over utility, brainstorming is transformed into a vibrant experience where ideas flow through real-time collaboration. Cursors serve as visual anchors, reacting to input with emojis and hand-drawn elements to build energy. This signals ease, creating a playground where teams feel empowered to contribute.





Display ads
To highlight the magic of Canva’s Background Remover, I designed these display ads to be as interactive as the tool itself. The HTML5 banners feature a 'hover-to-reveal' mechanic: as the user mouses over the ad, the background instantly disappears. Small UX details, like a cursor-driven animation pointing toward the CTA, guide the user’s eye and encourage engagement.
